MAS Runner allows athletes to Train for More on their Training Journey. The conditioning app allows coaches to provide Training Programs to athletes throughout the season. The app monitors athletes Weekly Training Loads and Perception of Effort to inform session prescription and performance.

Training with MAS Runner:

MAS stands for Maximum Aerobic Speed Training. MAS is a Sports Science concept that indicates an athletes level of aerobic fitness.

MAS Runner provides value by delivering individual training at scale for athletes. It provides a platform for clubs to improve their athletes level of fitness and buy-in with conditioning all year round.

Session Prescription uses an athletes MAS Score to automate distances to cover during work to rest intervals. The functionality guides athletes through their session and records their measure of exertion through RPE. This informs the coach how difficult the athlete found the training load.

MAS Runner calculates Weekly Training Load through the Acute:Chronic Workload Ratio. This allows coaches to progressively overload training and avoid injury risk associated with increased training spikes.

Program Guidance - Off-Season, Pre-Season, In-Season

Training programs are prescribed based on athletes training goal and seasonal requirements. Sessions prescribe sets and reps with target work to rest intervals. Each session is prescribed based on an individuals MAS Score. At the completion of the session, athletes record their perception of effort through a RPE score. This helps monitor week to week training load and informs coach prescription.

Training is Personalised Through the Maximal Aerobic Speed Test - 6 minutes of running covering as much distance as possible.

Training Load Monitoring:

Completed Sessions: Weekly, Monthly and Yearly sessions are recorded

*Acute:Chronic Workload Ratio: Quantifies Weekly Training Load. This Ratio measures the

sweat spot of progressive overload of training. By gradually progressing training load

you decrease your risk of injury which is associated with increased spikes of training.

*Training Logs: Training outside of MAS Runner (e.g. Team Skills Training) can be added

to MAS Runner to measure the absolute total of your Weekly Training Load. This will give

a snapshot of your entire Training Load across the week and inform prescription.
